In collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), Mapúa University (MU) is now offering Transnational Higher Education (TNHE) programs during the Academic Year 2024-2025 for students to experience international education in the country.

During an interview with E.T. Yuchengco School of Business and Management (ETYSB) Dean Singh Jassel Satwant Singh Jagdeep, it was said that the goal of the collaboration is "to offer an international quality degree to Filipino students at an affordable price.”

With the University’s mission of globalization in mind, MU’s Office of the Executive Director for Partnership Senior Marketing Manager, Ms. Maria Monica Clara L. Lerit, also shared that the partnership with ASU will allow students to be equipped with “global competencies demanded by today's interconnected world.”

Mapúans who will enroll in the TNHE programs will have to finish their degrees first at MU during the first three years before becoming eligible for admissions to ASU. With this, students have the chance to obtain two degrees from both universities. Students who wish to stay in the Philippines during the fourth year may also do so as they have the option to complete their world-class education on campus or online.

As for the curricula, students will have access to the enhanced curriculum and world-class content of ASU, along with real-world experiential learning which will be experienced “through problem-solving learning and modern tech-enabled simulation environments.” Other features included are Global Signature Courses, Masterclasses featuring industry leaders in business, and Summer Immersions in ASU and its partner universities worldwide.

Moreover, the ASU Pathways programs provide access to world-class education, “This will empower Filipino students to gain both local and global perspectives, preparing them to become future leaders in the international arena.” Ms. Lerit emphasized. Adding to this, the accelerated degrees and career opportunities will further assist the University’s aim to become a leading institution in the country.

The following programs approved to be offered are the following:

Dual Degree Programs

  • BS in Global Management - BS in International Trade

  • BS in Marketing - BS in Digital Audiences

  • BS in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics - BS in Data Science

Accelerated Masters Program

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recently approved MU’s TNHE Programs last July 2, 2024, while MU and ASU formed their long-term partnership in 2022 “built on shared values of innovation, excellence, and student success.”
