MU emerges as top PH university in three subject areas in THE WUR 2025

Marasigan On its centenary year, Mapúa University (MU) proves its mettle, securing a seat in the 1501+ bracket and claiming top spots among the PH universities in three subject areas of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject for 2025. Of more than 2,000 institutions across 115 countries, MU ranks in the 801-1000 bracket for Computer Science and Physical Sciences, as well as 1001-1250 in the Engineering for this year.

 

Being in the top 6% of the world’s higher educational institutions, MU is the top PH university under the subjects of Computer Science, Physical Sciences, and Engineering – all improving from its standing from the previous year. Each university’s ranking by subject is assessed by five criteria; Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook.

Among other Philippine universities in the rankings, MU stands alongside the De La Salle University, Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, and the University of Santo Tomas, Ateneo de Manila University, and University of the Philippines.
