Crunching deadlines is a Mapúan’s five-course meal to survive the term. Juggling a healthy lifestyle for both physical and mental health can be a struggle for the typical Cardinal. With the Philippines’ celebration of Nutrition Month every July, The New Builder highlights some restaurants that will nourish and keep stomachs full while keeping deadlines in mind.

24/7 Super Healthy

Serving both vegan and vegetarian audiences, 24/7 Super Healthy provides filling meals in and out of Metro Manila. Offering dishes that range from their best-selling grilled chicken rice bowls to Caesar salad wraps, their menu features a competitive price range that starts at 99 pesos. This restaurant presents diverse flavors from various cuisines, including, but not limited to, Filipino, Thai, and Mexican. Their branches can be found in areas bustling with students like Manila and Quezon City, even in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). They are available for delivery in both GrabFood and FoodPanda.

Great Greens

Another vegan and vegetarian food provider, Great Greens, is known for its robust salads and wraps. Extending an array of protein sources like chicken and salmon, their take on green classics starts at 198 pesos. They deliver 24/7 around the metro through GrabFood and FoodPanda.

The Farmassist

The Farmassist is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant that serves Filipino plant-based cuisines that are budget-friendly, ranging from 79 pesos to 199 pesos. Their signature dish, “Pan Alo,” is an original dish inspired by pizzas but is rich in nutrients and a healthier version. The Farmassist is located in San Joaquin, Pasig City, and is available for delivery through their Facebook page, FoodPanda, and Grabfood.

Mean Greens

Enthusiasts of salads and wraps can turn to Mean Greens for their selection of healthy meals. Their dishes are filled with vitamins and proteins at a budget-friendly range of 200 pesos. Some of their dishes are Kani Mango Sesame, Chicken Inasal Salad, Beef Tenderloin Kebab Wrap, and many more. Mean Greens’ branches are located in Makati City, Pasig City, and Quezon City. Additionally, their meals can be ordered through GrabFood, FoodPanda, and Klikit.

Cosmic

For students who want to be healthy and eat their go-to favorite foods, Cosmic is a vegan restaurant that offers Filipino cuisine such as silogs, salads, and other staple dishes in the Philippines. This restaurant aims to provide its customers with the classic Filipino comfort food. Their dishes start at 150 pesos and are situated at Makati City, Pasig City, and Siargao Island. They deliver through GrabFood and FoodPanda.

Amidst these recommendations, nothing beats the salubrious meals cooked at home. However, the downtime to prepare a full meal is a privilege not every student has. In the busy nature of the city, restaurants like these provide the convenience of nourishment on the go — one meal at a time.
