The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – Mapúa University Student Chapter (PICE-MUSC) will launch the first episode of the seven-part webinar series entitled “The Leader’s Route: Adventure Quest to Becoming the Chief Builder” today, October 2, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, streamed live on their official Facebook page.
Today’s event speakers are Usec. Maria Catalina E. Cabral, Ph.D., CESO I and Engr. Sonny G. Andalis. Dr. Cabral, the first female Undersecretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways, will impart her insights as a public servant. Meanwhile, Engr. Andalis, the Senior Executive BIM Manager at Surbana Jurong Consultants in Singapore, will share his experiences as a leader in his field of expertise.
The first webinar is part of the flagship event entitled “Into the Treasures of Civil Engineers: TraverCEing the World of Specializations” which aims to explore the various civil engineering specializations (CE) field. The long-running series is in line with the student’s organization mission which is to “further assist the whole student community in providing information, experienced-based discussions from professionals and young leaders, and activities through webinars, symposiums, colloquiums, and other possible techniques.”
The succeeding webinars that will tackle structural engineering, construction engineering and management, water resources engineering, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, and energy and environmental engineering will be held from January to April 2023.
