Unveiling Colors

I know you are fearful to be seen in glaring colors,

to avow the warmth I gave you,

to verbalize our authenticity without the shutters,

to love beyond the facade enclosing our deep view

Reading your books from covers to endless

meanings of love, freedom, and pride from pages to pages

My purpose is to lend you something to be published

a sense of safety, widely embellished

You don't have to conceal the colors you drew

it was the shade people see me through

Discard the facade and face the dawn anew

Together, we'll unveil what we refuse to view
